B&K Precision, a leading designer and manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective test and measurement instruments, announces the HVL Series High Voltage DC Electronic Loads. The series consists of six models with various voltage and current configurations up to 3 kW and 6 kW, for evaluating DC-DC converters, batteries, battery chargers, photovoltaic arrays, and other high-power DC sources. Suitable for rack-mount applications, 3 kW models are packaged in a 3U form factor while 6 kW models are 5U. Parallel operation of multiple instruments extends maximum sink capabilities to 60 kW. The front panel features a bright 4.3-inch LCD screen and an intuitive interface. Three user-programmable keys enable seamless switching between instrument setups for quick access to frequently used configurations. The USB host port enables data logging directly to a USB flash drive.

In addition to CC/CV/CR/CW operating modes, the HVL Series provides continuous, pulse, and toggle transient operations to precisely switch between two load levels. Advanced list programming is highly configurable for generating complex load sequences. Operating software and battery test software are provided for remote PC control and programming. Built-in interfaces on the rear panel include USB (USBTMC-compliant), LAN, RS232, and GPIB.
The wide operating voltage range and high-power capabilities make it a comprehensive solution for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, on-board EV chargers, and charging station test applications.
Additionally, this series is cTUVus certified, indicating compliance with U.S. and Canadian National safety standards.
The 3 kW models have a list price of $8,850 while 6 kW models are offered at $14,300. All models are backed by a 3-year warranty.
