B&K Precision Releases New Dual Channel Arbitrary Waveform Generators
Yorba Linda, CA. June 26, 2024
Generate true point-by-point arbitrary waveforms
B&K Precision, a leading designer and manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective test and measurement instruments announced the 4078C Series Dual Channel Arbitrary / Function Waveform Generators. These high-performance generators utilize true point-by-point arbitrary waveform generation, producing less jitter and distortion than generators relying on a typical DDS architecture. In addition, the new series features 16-bit resolution, a sampling rate of up to 250 MSa/s, and deep waveform memory up to 4 Mpts per channel.

Comprised of two models, the 4078C (30 MHz) and 4079C (50 MHz) feature an intuitive front panel with a 4.3-inch graphical LCD and USB host port for importing/exporting waveform data. These generators also boast an extensive feature set including AM, FM, PM, BPSK and FSK modulation along with versatile sweep and burst capabilities, variable edge pulse generation, and fully programmable markers that can be added to custom waveforms.
Standard USBTMC and LAN interfaces combined with the included PC software, allow users to remotely upload custom waveforms and convert binary, CSV, and text files with waveform data into an arbitrary waveform (.arb) file. A GPIB interface is available with model 4079C-GPIB.
