B&K Precision Releases New Series of 20 kW DC Power Supplies

Featuring a high-power density 3U form factor, high efficiency, and voltage output to 1500 V.

B&K Precision, a leading designer and manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective test and measurement instruments, continues to expand their DC power supply offering with the new HPS Series 20 kW DC Power Supplies. The Series consists of two models with the following voltage / current ratings: HPS20K800 (800 V / 25 A) and HPS20K1500 (1500 V / 13.4 A). Multiple HPS Series models can be combined in parallel to increase the total output power to 160 kW.

The 5-inch touchscreen offers intuitive control displaying both set and measured values as well as simulated internal resistance. The front panel USB host port is available for logging voltage and current data. Standard interfaces include LAN and RS232 for remote PC control and monitoring. The galvanically isolated analog interface provides output control and monitoring using an external voltage source. Additionally, comprehensive protection features help prevent damage to the power supply and the device under test.

The HPS Series delivers reliable DC power for industrial aerospace, electric vehicle (EV), and other applications requiring high voltage.

Available now, both models are listed at $16,700 and are backed by a 3-year standard warranty.
